Cannon-ballBiography Cannon-BallThis project came to life on Walter Prevoo’s initiative. After 6 years within the ABBEY ROAD group, he decided to realise an old dream: to play on stage the music of his fetish group SUPERTRAMP.He never denied his passion for the BEATLES, but the challenge was too tempting. If one evening was only needed to interpret the arrangements of “Let it be”, one week of meticulous work wasn’t enough to avoid a complete mess of "Fool's Overture". .. It became necessary to form a band able to take up the challenge. The rehearsals began in July 1999. A lot of musicians were auditioned and after 6 months of intensive work, Cannon Ball saw life at the beginning of 2000. The first band was formed with : Philippe Ypersiel (drums), Brunon Detournay (bass), Christophe Pons (guitar), Xavier Orban (sax and second keyboard), Walter Prevoo (lead vocal and keyboards). The first effects were promising, but the lack of a second voice able to ensure the vocal part of ROGER HODGSON, was evident. Some singers had tried, but none of them were convincing. The idea to integrate a feminine voice in the band became evident and this role was given to Marie Prevoo. CANNON BALL appeared for the first time on stage in March 2000. This band toured until January 2003. Despite good results, the fans of Supertramp were left unsatisfied. At that time, the production decided to set a higher standard and the band was completely restructured, but this time only with professional musicians. Five rehearsals were enough to allocate the roles judiciously. July 2003 was the principal turning point with the appearance of Hervé Borbé (Machiavel) to relieve Walter on the keyboard, Renaud Demoustier with his 3 saxes and his booming voice, Mourad Dehas (drums), and Francis Winandy (bass). The success was immediate and was followed by a series of concerts with, from now on, an audience of convinced fans. www.televesdre.eu/site/index.php?iddet=1720&id_surf=&idcat=89&quellePage=999&surf_lang=fr&id_menu=89 Foto'sGeluidsfragmenten
